Chapter Six Empty Chapter Six

Things seem to get busier and busier at Mignonette as time went on, especially since the Barça boys became regulars and with the showings of games and whatnot. It didn't really matter to Liv, she liked the fact that her restaurant could be somewhat formal and yet a place for friends to come together and eat for a single reason or another. The surge in customers caused for more and more time away from her own life. But that was what it meant to be a chef, a successful chef at that. The "Life" as most call it, was sort of like the mob in her perspective. Once you were in, a made man, you were in for life. Live by the knife, die by the knife sort of mentality.

Flames shot up as the short but highly effective chef flip a flank steak she was grilling up for another of those wonderful and always pleasant Barça tailgate parties. This crowd was bigger than they usually were. In her head, she was trying to imagine that familiar and forever welcome goofy smile bouncing around on the field, kicking ass no doubt along with his equally awesome and badass compadres.

'A whole year huh?' she thought as she briefly stared out into the dining area and watched excited cules rejoice over another goal made by Messi with a beautiful assist from Xavi.

"Hey, Liv! No time for daydreaming dirty things about your boyfriend!!" Javier, her fish cook/ other set of eyes teased, yelling it loud enough that the whole kitchen heard and erupted in laughter.

Not one to just let things slide, Olivia pursed her lips and as she took the steak off the grill, she turned and yelled back, "At least I can do dirty things with a man my dear Javier!" She gave a little cutesy shrug and a giggle and turned back to cut the steak. A victorious grin possessed her face as the kitchen was rumbling with laughter as Javier's face turned redder than the red bands of the Spanish flag.

'Wonder how everyone else is doing.'
