Personality: Pretty chill for the most part, likes to go with the flow and likes calm in her life. Often described by her
friends as Mother Hen or the Counselor, Adela likes to be there for people when they need it. Warm and inviting but can
be scary when pushed to her limits. Funny and entertaining. Can sometimes let her niceness get the better of her and
land her in irksome situations.

Background: Adela and her older brother lived a relatively normal life with their parents in San Sebastian. They would
spend summers in Bayonne, France and would spend a lot of weekends on the beach. Her and her mother would always
sing songs while picking flowers in fields. When Adela was five, her parents went to Bayonne to visit her Uncle and Aunt.
During this time, there was a lot of unrest and war going on between the Basque countries, who demanded to become
their own separate state, and the rest of Spain. While on their way to a local cafe, a gun war broke out, injuring dozens
and killing a few, including Adela’s parents. After the death of their parents, Adela and Damen went to live with their
Aunt and Uncle, who decided to move to San Sebastian after the latest riot.

After her parent’s death, Adela assumed the role of the mother, despite being the younger sibling. She felt as
though she owed it to her mother to act more responsible and act more grown up. She always helped her Aunt clean
and cook and go grocery shopping. She would even make her brother’s lunch every night before school. In school, Adela
was bright but sometimes would daydream or slack off because she was too busy with being the Mother Hen in the
group. When she was a freshman in high school, Adela took a huge liking to photography and began entering some of
her photos into the school newspaper.

In college, Adela took up dining room service and became a certified waitress. She would have become a chef
but decided against because she was afraid would cut off a finger or wouldn’t be able to endure the stress of a kitchen.
She also decided to join the photography club. After she graduated, she spent some time abroad in New York and went
to a lot of Broadway shows and to some jazz clubs and had the inspiration that she might want to become a singer.
When she came back to Spain, she auditioned for a small music company but was never called back. For a few years, she
helped take care of her Uncle and Aunt and did some travelling in the Pyrenees before returning to Barcelona and
applying to a local restaurant.
